District Fundraising
Initiatives
One of the ways that the CNH District works together to make the world a better place is through District Fundraising Initiatives, or DFIs. Funds raised by the District as a whole are donated to three important causes: the Pediatric Trauma Program, the Eliminate Project, and the Kiwanis Family House.

Fundraising Initiative:It's a sad fact that the leading cause of death for children ages 14 and under is unintentional traumatic injury, and an even sadder fact that 90% of these cases of unintentional injury are entirely preventable.
The goal of Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP) is to help combat these unfortunate cases by contributing to local projects, community outreach, and education programs geared towards preventing pediatric trauma and ensuring that children can grow up healthy, safe, and sound. |

fundraising initiative:To eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus, a deadly disease which claims the lives of almost 50,000 infants and many women year after year, Kiwanis International and UNICEF have collaborated to create the Eliminate Project.
The goal of the project is to raise $110 million in order to fund the vaccinations and other medical equipment needed to immunize mothers and babies worldwide. |

Fundraising Initiative:Kiwanis Family House is based in Sacramento, CA, and provides housing for the families of ill or injured children at the UC Davis Medical Center.
All funds raised for this initiative go towards improving the living standards of the KFH and providing any additional resources that the residents may require. |
